Parish groups
Our parishes have the following groups which welcome new members.

Coleford Churches Together:
Meets in person occasionally throughout the year.
An ecumenical group that focuses on working together in unity, and includes services like the Good Friday Walk of Witness.
Faith Group:
Meets in person weekly at 7pm on most Wednesdays in the Church Hall in Coleford.
Guided by Catholic teaching this social group looks at various ways to grow and strengthen our faith through scripture and short videos. We reflect and share on different aspects of our religion and how God is present and at work in our lives.
Lectio Divina:
The Forest of Dean and Newent Parishes' Lectio Divina Group meets online weekly via Zoom at 11am on Fridays (excluding the last Friday of the month). Participants can join the session any time after 10.30am to organise themselves for an 11am start. During the Lectio Divina sessions we listen attentively to the following Sunday's Gospel to hear the word or phrase the Father is speaking into the lives of each of us individually. Using this method we prayerfully discern individually what we are called to pay attention to in our lives this week. Participants receive a weekly emailed invitation which includes the Zoom link and the following Sunday's Gospel that we will be hearing.
Lunch Club:
Meets on the last Friday of the month, in the Church Hall next to St Margaret Mary Church, Coleford. The cost is £7 which includes a meal, dessert, tea and coffee plus a raffle ticket. Diners start arriving at approximately 11.30am for 12 noon.
Parish Evangelising Cell:
Meets fortnightly in person In Newent at 1pm for lunch on Thursdays.
Prayer Group:
Meets in person monthly at 10am on Saturdays in Our Lady of Lourdes, Newent.
Rosary Group:
Meets weekly in person at Hanover Court in Cinderford at 9.30am on Fridays.
Rosary Group:
The Forest of Dean and Newent Parishes' Rosary Group meets online weekly via Zoom at 5pm every Monday to say the five Joyful Mysteries together. Participants may join the meeting any time from 4.30pm onwards to organise themselves for a 5pm start. Participants receive an emailed Zoom invitation weekly with an attachment that contains a printable version of the five joyful mysteries including the opening and closing prayers which makes it very easy for us all to follow.
Taizé Evening Prayer:
Meets in person monthly at 6pm on Sundays in Our Lady of Lourdes, Newent.
Saint Vincent de Paul Conference:
Meets in person several times a year in the church hall in Coleford. This group is open to ideas and suggestions that will benefit our community. We visit and support anyone in need bringing God’s love to all people.
Togetherness:
Meets in person several times a year. Bringing children and their families together through faith, prayer, play and food.
Unity Prayer Meeting in Newent Churches:
Meets in person quarterly.
WhatsApp Intercessory Prayer Group - OLLI AT HOME PRAYING:
Meets via WhatsApp.
